History of 2FarOffRoad.com
Back in 2001 I started a website named RubiconLand.com. It was a derivate of a collage project I was required to put together. This site included 100% full hand written HTML code, a fully functional shopping cart, guest book, and photo gallery. It used ASP and ASP.net and ran a Ms-Access database.
In 2005 I changed the name from RubiconLand to 2FarOffRod.com
As the site grew so did the time I was spending to keep it up. It was hard to keep up a hand written website. I finally started using Dreamweaver to help control site wide changes through templetes, CSS, and includes. After a few years or so I finally decided to implement a Content Management System (CSM) to handle all the pages I had created in a more friendly fashion.
In 2006 I downloaded the Drupal CSM. Today I use it for both this site and 2FarOffRoad.com. It has been shown to be a great system for managing most all the websites I now oversee.
